As a member of the Rock ‘n’ Roll group “The Granati Bros”, also known as “G-Force”, his band recorded for A&M Records and Atlantic Records. The “G-Bros.” headlined thousands of major concerts, and they were the opening act for a diverse number of major bands including: Van Halen (two tours as special guest- 80 shows), The Doobie Bros., Molly Hatchet, J.Geils Band, Heart, Boston, Sammy Hagar, Nazareth, Blue Oyster Cult, Rick Derringer, Ted Nugent, The Romantics, Head East, Humble Pie, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, Denny Laine, Rush, and many other internationally famous touring acts. “The Granati Brothers” were inducted into the Pittsburgh Musicians Hall of Fame, and The Beaver County Hall of Fame.
In 1995, Joey diversified his performing activities by entering the ever growing world of Dueling Pianos. He has become one of the most recognized names in DP’s. His many years as a Touring Rock‘n’Roller has made him well known throughout the industry as one of the players who brought the “Big Stage/ Rock‘n’Roll Powerhouse Experience” to DP’s. He lives and loves the quote by fellow piano man Karl Bailey…”This is the ‘most fun job’ any working musician could ever be part of”.
In recent years, Joey has worked across the nation for all of the major DP chains as a special guest and a featured performer. He returned to”Sing Sing Pittsburgh” in December 2010, a gig that he says he is “Thrilled to be a part of”.
Influenced by The Beatles, The Who, Yes, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Mozart, Debussy, and Gershwin…Joey Granati is a Rock ‘n’ Roll veteran who has performed in all aspects of the music business. He owns 2 recording studios and writes music for TV and film.
“Joey G” has done everything in the music biz, except become World Famous, and he is still working very hard to insure that he never does become World Famous.
